Accessibility and support
Accessibility
Our accessibility standard, how to use Resource Manager with a keyboard or screen reader, and how to report a problem.
We build Resource Manager to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Every change is checked with automated accessibility testing and a keyboard-only journey before it is released.
Using a keyboard
- Press Tab to move forward and Shift + Tab to move back. Where you are is always clearly outlined.
- The first Tab on any page reveals Skip to main content. Press Enter to jump past the menu.
- Enter or Space activates buttons and links. Escape closes the menu and pop-ups.
- Anything you can drag with a mouse can also be done without dragging.
Screen readers
Pages have a clear title, headings in order, labelled landmarks (menu, main content) and labelled form fields. Errors are announced, and the list of problems at the top of a form links to each field. Confirmations are announced without moving your place.
Colour and contrast
Text and controls meet WCAG AA contrast in both the light and the dark theme. Colour is never the only way information is shown. See Light and dark themes.
Reporting a problem
If something is hard to use, please tell your organisation's administrator, who can pass it on to us. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use.
Known issues
None recorded at the moment. When we know of a problem, we list it here until it is fixed.
