Support access
When and how Resource Manager support can open your organisation, and how you see and stop it.
Resource Manager support can open your organisation to help you, for example to fix a set-up problem you have reported. It is never a silent back door:
- It needs a reason. Support writes down why, for example a ticket number, and you can see it.
- It is time-limited. A session lasts at most four hours and then ends by itself.
- You are told. Every owner gets an email when a session starts.
- It is recorded. Everything support does is in your audit log under their own name.
- It is limited. Support can help with settings, people, roles, departments, clients and projects. It can't see rates or money, leave, sickness or one-to-ones, and it can't close your organisation.
Seeing and ending support sessions
Under Administration → Support access you can see every session: who, why, when it started and when it ends. Select End now to stop one that is still open.
For platform operators
The platform console (Platform administration in the account menu) lists every organisation. Using it needs platform operator access, which is only granted from the server, and two-step sign-in. From it, operators can:
- suspend an organisation, with a reason. Nobody can open it until it is reactivated, and its data is kept;
- reactivate it, or reopen a closed one before its data is deleted;
- start a support session, with a reason and a length.
Closed organisations are deleted by the purge job once 30 days have passed. The job checks that nothing of the organisation is left in any table and keeps a record of each purge.
